Northern California Net Amateur
Match Play Championship

Hidden Lakes Tournament Services presents the Northern California Net Amateur Match Play Championship!

Match Play is the oldest form of golf.  It's just you against your opponent, head-to-head.  Total strokes is irrelevant.  It's just how many strokes you need versus your opponent.  Score is based on who wins the most holes.  Win and you advance, lose and you're out.

This event will be handicapped using 85% of the course handicap at each course.  The first round is Sunday August 18 at Rancho Solano in Fairfield.  Limited to 32 players, the bracket will be organized by Index so that matches will feature players with similar handicaps.  The second round is on Saturday August 31 at Blue Rock Springs with 16 players, then the round of 8 on Sunday, September 1 at Blue Rock Springs.  The final four and Championship/Consolation matches will be held on September 14&15 at Shadow Lakes in Brentwood.

The cost for this tournament is $165.00 which includes green fee, cart and prize fund.  To signup and pay for this event, please Click Here.

ABOUT RANCHO SOLANO

A Golf Oasis with Unmatched Greenery and Timeless Elegance, Rancho Solano opened in 1993 and was designed by Gary Roger Baird. Rancho Solano is known for two things; country club look and feel and the largest greens in Northern California. Rancho Solano has a beautiful layout with rolling terrain, undulated greens and elevated tees nestled in the hills of the community of Rancho Solano. Rancho Solano has received the Daily Republic’s Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Golf Course in Solano county since the golf course opened in 1993, as well as Worth the Green Fee by Greenskeeper.org in 2015, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.

ABOUT BLUE ROCK SPRINGS

Blue Rock Springs is equipped with two championship 18-hole layouts and draws customers from the greater Bay Area because of its competitive rates, friendly service and excellent conditions.

The West course (6,014 yards, par 71) is tree-lined, has several elevation changes and a number of challenging holes. It underwent a $1.5 million renovation in 2006.

The East course (6,162 yards, par 70) is the newer of the layouts and offers sweeping views of the North Bay and Mt. Tamalpais in Marin County. The towers of the Golden Gate Bridge can be seen from selected vantage points.

ABOUT SHADOW LAKES
Established in 2001, Shadow Lakes recently re-opened all 18 holes after having been dormant for a few years.  Well-groomed fairways and greens keep Shadow Lakes difficult yet friendly.  The course features dramatic elevation changes, native grasses that outline each hole and natural boulder outcroppings that give the course a unique, distinctive feel.
